The Spooligan is a 29mm motor, mid power spool rocket that is fun to build. The disks of the spool are two parts, the main plate and the iso-grid plate. Gluing these two plates together produces a very strong, yet light disk...and the iso-grid just looks amazing. With a 10" disk diameter and standing 18" tall, this rocket will certainly be the most exciting launch of the day. We recommend using a motor with an impulse of at least an average thrust of 40N. We recommend using at least a 3/16" by 4ft rod (we did test safely on a 3ft rod though). The 18" chute is great for grass and soft ground, but we do recommend upgrading to a 24" chute for harder ground landings.
