Parachute Sewing Tech I $15-22/hr
Description: Responsible for 1-3 sewing operations, and/or 1-3 bartack operation, and/or 1-3 assembly operations or any combination thereof by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products, work instructions and procedures.
Training: Training can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months (depending on skill level). During training, you will gain the skills to thread, adjust tension, adjust stitching dimensions, wind and change bobbins; and operate a double needle sewing machine, a bartack sewing machine, and a walking foot double needle sewing machine. You will also learn how to read technical drawings, check seams after sewn, re-sew seams, sew rolled hems with and without reinforcement tape/ ribbon, and diagnose basic sewing machine issues (misthreads, broken thread, broken needles). There are other minor skills that will be taught and include but not limited to quality assurance, Valkyrie's processes, and shop rules.
