Best way to choose what size you need is to look at how dense you want to pack your parachute. Most flyers experienced with deployment bags can pack up to ~0.25oz/in^3. If you are unfamiliar with deployment bags, go with 0.20oz/in^3. So just take your parachute's weight in ounces and divide by 0.20 or 0.25 and you will get your 'minimum' pack volume. Our volumes are listed below. The diameters listed are the tube's nominal diameter. The bag's diameter is ~90% of the ID of popular tubes.
